Poet Stephen Campiglio, composer Ryan Jesperson, and Asylum collaborate on an afternoon of poetry and chamber music. Based on the poet Stephen Campiglio’s new book, Verbal Clouds Through Various Magritte Skies, published by Cy Gist Press—a series of poems inspired by the surrealist art of René Magritte—the session will begin with a brief overview of Magritte’s life and work, followed by a performance of the poems to sli des of the corresponding paintings and accompanied by an original score by Connecticut composer, Ryan Jesperson, performed by the Asylum Quartet.

MCC presents this credit-free course open to the public, with a $5 registration fee accepted at the door.
